This morning when I opened up THE DAILY BREEZE, our daily newspaper for the south bay area of L.A. . . . .this is the picture I saw on the front page with this caption under it. . . .Snow-capped mountains loom over downtown Los Angeles after storms cleared the air. Most people do not think of Los Angeles with snow and mountains. But on any clear day, just driving around we always see the beauty of the mountains. I just wanted to share the beauty we are seeing today! I love southern California!!
I must add. . . .my roots do still come out. . . . . . . So proud of LSU!!! GEAUX TIGERS!!!!!

WHoa, Whoa, Whoa!!!! Aren't you originally from Texas? Now all of the sudden after a National Championship you bleed purple and gold and your heart skips a beat when you hear "The Eye of the Tiger." I'll admit that I was happy they won but I won't be yelling Geaux Tigers anytime soon.
Now for a conversational switch, we had snow on our mountains this weekend too. Gotta love it. When's the last time there was "snow on the mountains" in East Texas?
That pic is gorgeous! California really does have it all. :) We live in the less desirable area of California, but we have our advantages. Our prices are lower on nearly everything except gas. I can still get a tall Starbucks frapp for under $3.00. We are an hour from the snow, 2 hours from the beach and LA, and only 4 hours from San Fran. I love California!
Wow! That is a beautiful picture!! I'm jealous that you get to see the mountains everyday! HA! :)
Than: You always make me laugh! Snow on those east Texas or Northeast Louisiana mountains...that is a great laugh! I was born in Texas, but lived in Louisiana most of my life. I am more of a LONGHORN fan than a Tiger....but I was proud of those Tigers!!! My school made the tide roll this year....ULM beat Alabama during the season! What a big win!!
Jana: You have the best of both worlds!! California is GREAT!!
Krista: On clear days, the view is amazing whether it is the mountains or the beach. . .it is beautiful!!
BEAUTIFUL!!! WOW!!!
Debbie, I'm in your "neck of the woods," :-) but I'm ready to get back home to SoCal and go check out that snow.
Ronda. . .makes you love California!!!
Mark. . .enjoy BOTT. . .and some good ol' cajun food!!
WHAT--tell me WHAT can there possibly be to not love about southern California? It's the greatest place in the world...traffic and all...makes for a bit of excitement.
Well, one thing is not perfection--smog!
Love you both.
